“Jo’s Little Women” Club.

You are invited to step back in time and enjoy

an olde fashioned gathering at Cornerstone quilts. Each month every member is given a new project for a small quilt made with Jo Morton fabrics for Andover.

Grand Quilters support group.

This group is for customers that own home quilting machines such as the Pfaff Grand Quilter and the Viking Mega quilter. Held on the second Tuesday of every month we have a 3:00 session and a 6:00 session. We attend for learning and inspiration. We encourage our quilters to bring finished pieces for show and tell, quilts tops for a group discussion on

how it should be quilted. We can all use some help sometimes. We always take time to trouble shoot problems and learn new techniques on your machines. We also review new books and tools of the trade. The August session is on feathers. We will demonstrate the difference between long arm and heirloom feathers and how to apply them to your quilting project.

You will make new stitching friends and learn and enjoy the process of making small quilts.
Making small quilts helps you perfect you’re quilting skills, small quilts require more accuracy, the bonus – your big quilts will be a breeze.
Your stitching group will have a great sense of accomplishment as you will be getting projects done.

We meet on the first Saturday of each month at the shop and we enjoy friendships, showing projects and learn some textile history. We have special surprises along the way too!!! $5.00 per month gets you lunch and patterns that are exclusive to the group. Here are some of benefits of joining a group like this:

You don’t need to bring your machine, just your project. If you can’t get it completed, come anyway and enjoy the pieces that are. Lee and Melanie are your hosts.

Gerties 30's Club - meets the first Saturday of every month at 9:30. This newly formed club loves fabrics from the great depression era. What a fun group this is going to be. We start out by eating (breakfast). We have show and tell of projects, learn a special technique and research blocks of the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s. Every month we’ll have a special challenge. So grab an empty three ring binder and come join us at the Gerties 30’s club. Cost – $5.00 per month and includes continental breakfast and a pattern.

Jo Morton’s Little Women Club – The first Saturday of every month, from noon – 1:30. NOTE: Club will be held the second Saturday of July (July 12). Participants begin by purchasing 35 fat quarters of Jo’s reproduction fabric line. Our goal is to assist lovers of 19 th Century fabrics, and reproduction fabrics and designs, in making small quilts that Jo has designed. There is a $5 per month club fee which includes patterns for all projects. Hosts: Lee Plisch and Melanie LaHart

Grand Quilters Users Group – The second Tuesday of every month, 3:00 – 5:00 and from 6:00 – 8:00 Whether you’ve purchased the Pfaff Grand Quilter or are just thinking about it, you are welcome to come to this club. Share ideas, techniques, tips, helpful hints and “show’ n’ tell” with other Grand Quilter users. Host: Lee Plisch

Machine Embroidery Club – from 10:30 - 4:00. Make fun projects and learn new techniques using your embroidery machine. Be sure to call the store to sign up AND to let us know what kind of embroidery machine you have. All are welcome. $25.00 fee. Hosts: Lee Plisch, Carrie Williams
