Dear Friends,

Did you have fun at the AQS show in Des Moines? We are so fortunate to have such a spectacular show in Iowa for the next two years. All of us here are already planning for next year. Yes – it was a lot of work, but we had so much fun seeing our customers and meeting new people that it was well worth it. It was awesome and overwhelming and we loved every minute of it. We found out there were 24,000 of you in attendance and that number does not reflect all the vendors, volunteers and workers. The two busiest days were Thursday and Friday. It was impossible to see everything and visit all the vendor booths in one day so start early and make your reservations for next years show, October 28th through the 31st.

Are you feeling inspired this fall? Fall is my favorite time of year probably because we’re celebrating all of my favorite colors, reds, browns, golds, and greens and all the warm colors of fall. So draw inspiration from the colors around you, pick up some books from your favorite historians and enjoy the process of creating your own masterpiece.

This newsletter is chuck full of new products, new ideas and items that will feed your creative appetites so sit back with your cup of tea, have a chocolate (or two) and enjoy. If you see something you like, come on in and any one of our wonderful staff will be happy to help you.

Mark your calendars for our BIG FABRIC SALE which is happening the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. That makes it the 28th and 29th of November, regular business hours. We are moving our porch sale to the basement so come on in and see what’s going on. All the fabric included in this sale will be $3.50 per yard – minimum one yard cuts. Fat Quarters will be $1.50. Everything else will be half price. We will also have some great deals on several models of sewing machines while supplies last.

Mark your calendars for our annual Christmas open house on Friday and Saturday, December 5th and 6th. Our grand door prize will be a sewing machine and we’re also including other wonderful door prizes. All you have to do is show up and sign up!! Oh yes, the highlight of our open house will be Rhonda’s homemade fudge, peanut brittle and cookies.

Read more in the newsletter about our wonderful sewing/quilting and embroidery machines. We still have 0% financing on the Brother 6000D but you have to come in and experience this machine. The 6000D has some truly unique features that you will not find on any other machine.

Some announcements concerning new products include Jenny Haskins products and seminars, Anita Goodesign embroidery collections and the new Tin Lizzie 18 inch long arm that will be arriving soon.

I am very thankful for all of our customers and my wonderful staff and volunteers. You make our shop a very special place. I am thankful for Gods love, the gift of the baby Jesus and the knowledge that we have everlasting life if we choose to follow Him. What an AWSOME GOD.
